We have seen some extremes in the U.S. in avenues used to get money for drugs and other useless art forms, but this may be the new trend in ascending the heights, not for glory but for shame!! You are catching a glimpse of world activity by listening in on the LHF line or broken link!!! It's a critical link for inexpensive communication and we will provide funds for restoration and a look into the insurance possibility. This would be a new twist for that part of the world to actually have insurance that would not be a scam and actually work. We will test. Keeping you posted on the misison scene and obscene!! A note for those possibly interested and an encouragement for you to nominate your candidate ... Someone has nominated me for the position of Executive Director, Board for Mission Services. The forms arrived yesterday. R. In half an hour after that my internet channel has been destroyed. Somebody entered the garret, broke the iron box with the router and has stolen all its content... I called police, they came already, we spent about two hours for making all the papers... but they say, this will be just one more undisclosed crime in our region. Sorry to inform you about this... The restoration of this link would cost about $800-900 (the cost of the stolen equipment and work). I am already investigating other possibilities of internet-connection of course, but using the phone line would be definitely too expensive due to large amounts of information I send and receive via Internet and high prices of the phone channels. Now I can use only my lap-top and phone line for sending and getting just mail. Have you any suggestions or ideas? I am very upset and a little perplexed, since I do not know what to do now. On the one hand the radio-link showed itself as one of the most effective ways of internet connection. On the other hand who can guarantee that the new iron box will not be broken in a month? I can not guard it myself with a gun... Maybe it is possible to restore the system and insure it. The police said that now it is possible and even works in Latvia. Well, this is all for now. Sorry again for this bad news... Please let me know your ideas about all this. Glad to hear from you always. -K. ----------------------------------------- mailto:komarov@carry.neonet.lv Please send also short messages to: 9231198@smsmail.lmt.lv (up to 100 Latin symbols) + + + Confessional Lutherans in Missionary Boldness + + + The CLIMB e-letter brings you unedited, uncut reports directly from the mission field, whether in South America, Africa, Europe, inner-city, rural, or collegiate America, or military installations and battle sites around the world.
