John R. Fehrmann, botw@juno.com By the mercy of God we are both now with our families and in the US. Thank you to all of you for the many prayers and the help you have extended to us at LHF and to CTS in her continuing efforts to teach the Gospel to your seminarians in difficult situations. The story is above all of God's continued working through His means of Word and Sacrament throughout the world. As The result is that many are confessing Christ, many are being Baptized, the Eucharist is feeding souls the very body and blood of Christ - Confessional Missions - the making of Christ truly present in people's lives - is in full LHF / CTS geer! The battle will only get more difficult. Pray that the Lord's Shepherds remain faithful and undaunted by the assults, crafts and wiles of the Devil. If I have a scheduled event with you and your congregation within the next 18 months please send me a reminder note - right now all my notes and plans are somewhere in Port au Prince, Haiti. I have been able to reconstruct most of the next year but I know that I am missing some events that I only had recently scheduled in my planner and not transfered to other data banks. Thanks for the help. My bride and babies also thank you for your prayers and support. John Rev. John R. Fehrmann Lutheran Heritage Foundation Received: 6/12/00 3:48 PM From: Rev. Dr. Daniel L. Gard, GardDL@aol.com Before any more time elapsed, I wanted to thank all of you for your prayers and support during my sojourn in Haiti. Before the carjacking, I was able to complete a course in OT Isagigics for 40 Haitian pastors and future pastors. Please keep the Church in Haiti in your prayers and the Haiti Mission Association and Lutheran Heritage Foundation in both your prayers and your giving. This young Church is still coming to grips with what it means to be Lutheran--we have an incredible opportunity to help them develop a solid confessional foundation. By the way, if you are ever stranded in a third world country, there is no one better to be stranded with than John Fehrmann! Blessings to all! Dan The Reverend Daniel L. It is our contention that those who truly hold to the ~Book of Concord~ as the pure exposition of Holy Scripture and the true confession of the Christian faith are also the most zealous supporters of the preaching of the Gospel in every corner of the world and, as such, ought to be kept thoroughly informed of how those endeavors are faring and shown how they may be rightly carried out without the destruction of orthodox doctrine and practice that some within the pale of Lutheranism now advocate.
